Record Makers + Mrzyk & Moriceau

= Phone app!

http://app.recordmakers.com/demo/YouTube4.mov

I’m not a fan of the iphone. In fact i’m kind of fed up with the mass direction apple is going.. But this iphone app by Record makers is making me revise my all anti-iphone position… Record makers are a French independent label and they asked artists Mrzyk & Moriceau to brand their 10th birthday. Mrzyk & Moriceau created this beautiful iPhone app inwhich you can create random art by swiping different parts of the drawing.

Have fun with one finger only! Drawings by Mrzyk & Moriceau
Sounds by Mr. Oizo
Opening by Sébastien Tellier

record makers

Record Makers are the ones behind Sébastien Tellier and thus created this video to commemorate their 10 years of activity > by Mrzyk & Moriceau as well

CLEVER LITTLE BAG :

With the ‘CLEVER LITTLE BAG :’, Puma kicks-off the next pivotal phase of it’s sustainability program.
The tens of millions of shoes shipped in our bag will reduce water, energy and diesel consumption on the manufacturing level alone by more than 60% per year.

In other words:
approximately 8,500 tons less paper consumed,
20 million Mega joules of electricity saved,
1 million liters less fuel oil used and
1 million liters of water conserved.
During transport 500,000 liters of diesel is saved and lastly,
by replacing traditional shopping bags the difference in weight will save almost 275 tons of plastic.
That’s only one brand, I hope others will follow.

But having said that, where am I going to put my bills for my income Tax?
Andif they’re just switching cardboard for fabric (cause they’re still using a lot of material) than what’s the real impact?

Expected to hit the shelves globally by 2011.

Crime data visualization

April 7th, 2010 by ntimm

Kind of odd to look at.
Crime maps (USA) provides the public with valuable information about recent crime activity in their neighborhood. the goal is to assist police departments in reducing crime through a better-informed citizenry. It’s in the making, not all states stats are integrated.

Collages rarely reveal the sources from which they are created and rarely expose the remnants left behind after extracting a desired element.
This magazine acts as a counterpart to collage; the remnants exhibit their own visual power. Through the removal and deconstruction of the existing layout, new images appear while flipping through the magazine allowing the viewer to redefine their way of seeing and creating.
